About

James E. Hamelton Jr. started writing on online message boards, posting short scifi, horror, and psychological horror stories. More than one person told him he probably needed professional help. He took it as a compliment.

His debut novel, An Enchanted Heart, the first book in The Heartbound Saga, came from a fantasy world he'd been building in his head for a long time before he realized it could actually be a book. It follows Aurelia Wynn, a girl drawn to storms, who gets pulled into a realm called Lysoria that she never meant to find.

James is a software engineer, web developer, and graphic designer by trade. He lives in Keokuk, Iowa, a river town on the Mississippi.
